Gabby was a Max Fleischer animated cartoon series distributed through Paramount Pictures. Gabby debuted as the town crier in the 1939 animated feature Gulliver's Travels produced by Fleischer. Shortly afterward Paramount and Fleischer saw fit to give Gabby his own Technicolor cartoon series, eight entries of which were produced between 1940 and 1941. Gabby was voiced by Pinto Colvig, the voice of Walt Disney's Goofy. The Gabby cartoons were sold to U.M.&M. T.V. Corp. in 1955, which later became part of National Telefilm Associates, which became Republic Pictures, and was then sold to Paramount's current parent Viacom in 1999.

The Lone Stranger is sleeping when his faithful, if overly caricatured, Indian scout sees stagecoach driver Porky being robbed by a bad guy. The scout summons the Lone Stranger, who rides to the rescue. The bad guy goes after him (and, briefly, the narrator). But just in the nick of time, the Lone Stranger recovers and conquers the bad guy. Meanwhile, Silver and the villain's horse have been having their own close encounter, and Silver returns with several little colts.

Gabby Gator tries to cook Woody for dinner, but he instead finds himself the pursued when an unfriendly cousin, a crocodile, decides that an alligator would be a tasty dish. Gabby's radar spies Woody heading toward the Okedokee Swamp, so he snares Woody in a set and tries to make Woody think that he's arrived at Gabby's Health Resort. Woody soon finds that he's destined to be the main ingredient in a Woodpecker stew. He managed to escape from Gabby with the help of the crocodile, who occupies Gabby with his own chase.

In a Florida swamp, starving Gabby Gator has a little diner. Things are slow; he is just waiting for a good meal to come along.

They left their seedy London pubs to seize their opportunity in L.A. But their cheeky attitude could have them sent back!

Porky and two pals stumble onto a Mexican town on the day of the town's annual bullfight. When they learn the contest winner gets $1,000...

Porky Pig is Daffy Duck's fight manager who gets Daffy a fight with "The Champion", but things get looney.
